Positioning specific rooms and gadgets can have a significant impact on our lives

The project where you buy or construct a home should ideally be on a rectangular or square plot of land. Avoid plots with major corner extensions and corner cuts. It is auspicious to have more open space in the east or north of the house or plot. The plot or house having a road on the east-north directions is a better place for prosperity.

According to Vaastu, the most favorable and beneficial main entrances in the house are those in the northeast, east or north direction. The sun’s rays are vital for the sustenance of life on earth, and the rays early in the morning from the east emitting more light and less heat are the best. Doors and windows in the east would allow the sun’s ultraviolet rays to penetrate into the house, bestowing their benefits to the inmates of the house.

The prayer room should be ideally located in the northeast corner of the house. The lamp should be in the southeast and water should be placed on the northeast side of the temple. Always make it a point to remove broken statues and spoiled pictures from the prayer area.

Living area

The living room and dining area should be ideally located in the north, east, or northeast portion of the house. The best place for the kitchen is southeast followed by northwest. Research conducted on kitchens in the southeast location shows that occupants of such house are prosperous. Avoid having the kitchen in the southwest corner. The health of female members gets affected if the kitchen is in the southwest.

Bedroom location

The master bedroom should be in the southwest corner to enable the head of the family to guide the family’s fortunes wisely. The bathroom should be located in the northwest or west region.

Influencing factors

Overhead water tanks can be placed on the roof in the southwest direction. Underground water tanks are beneficial if located in the northeast direction.

Images or statues in the house also have a significant impact on the residents. Pictures depicting war scenes or paintings of sorrow, struggle, violence, tragedy or calamities have no place in the house or office.

Central area

It is said that a storeroom in the northwest corner leads to the abundant supply of essential commodities. The central area, which is called ‘Brahmasthan’ should not be loaded heavily. It should be free from any kind of obstructions like pillars, staircase, wall etc.

Study room

The study room should be located in the east, northeast or east section of the house. Students should face the east or north direction while studying. Vibrant colors like yellow, blue, orange or violet should be used more in such rooms.

The students may not be able to concentrate properly if the study room is located at the southwest or south area.
