Vastu Shastra Significance of Colors & Programming your house for success

The significance of Colors &  Programming your house for success

vastu colors
According to Vastu Shastra, the environment has a tangible effect on your quality of life. Decorating choices such as paintings, wall color, style of furniture, furniture arrangement, and objects will either support your comfort or cause discomfort which produces stress. When a room is comfortable it helps you to relax, lessening stress.
Energy flow in your home or office affects your quality of life. When a good layout is aligned with correct vastu the result is an environment which appeals to all five senses and feels inviting. Energy is the underlying principle of vastu. Even though we don't see it we know it's working. Remember, we can't see gravity but we feel its effects!
You can programme anything you create in your reality. Since the first stage of all creation is mental, the thing which you create carries the energies of your thoughts when it was constructed.
Just like you can programme your subconscious mind, you can also programme anything that you want to influence.
Colors, Images, and objects are powerful activators used in vastu to enhance the energy of premises as well as curing the defects.
Programming by colors
Colour surrounds us and each hue of color gives off subtle vibrations. If you walk into natural surroundings, you most often feel at peace because there is a balance of colors. However, when you walk into a dark lobby, you feel scared and alone because there is an absence of color. Negative energy can be cut off by the use of appropriate colour.
Have you walked into someone's house which is decorated in yellow and felt more relaxed and peaceful than a house painted in grey or maroon colors? The theories of colour vibrations provide an explanation: colours affect your moods, personality, feelings and your physical energy.  Every colour in the rainbow radiates a different vibration or wavelength. Some colours vibrate very slowly and other vibrate very quickly. Using proper colour in proper direction can be used to effect changes in our own premises.  Interestingly, natural light (which includes the seven colours of the spectrum) is required by humans for our cells to function and grow normally. When exposed to different colour vibrations, humans are known to experience changes in their mental, emotional, and physical state.   Vastu is all about energy and vibrations.
Programming by Use of paintings & Objects
Everyone I  know wants to have his “dream home or dream career.” The first problem with obtaining a dream home or Career is that most people have never even sat down to think about what it would look like. By displaying an image of a dream home or dream career in a particular direction, you can activate your desired goals.

By displaying such paintings or objects you are giving a programming command to your subconscious mind.

Effective use of Mirrors in Vastu Shastra

You should be very careful about the choice of mirrors and their placements. Mirrors have a powerful effect on your well-being.

How are you using mirrors?

 What might be harmful?

What is the ideal use of mirrors?

Mirrors are incredibly valuable in Vastu and  even in Feng Shui, as they can be utilized in a variety of ways to meet a variety of needs. However, it's important to note that not all mirrors are equally effective, and using one of the wrong shapes or directions could potentially do more harm than good. In Vastu Shastra they are also known as Asprin.

Mirror and Bedroom

Having a mirror facing the bed is commonly believed to have negative effects on one's energy levels and sleep quality. The reflection of oneself in the mirror can be distracting and may disrupt the peaceful atmosphere of the bedroom. According to Vastu, it is advised to place mirrors strategically to enhance positive energy flow, rather than directly facing the bed. By rearranging the mirror to a different location in the room, you can create a more harmonious environment conducive to restful sleep.

The mirror may look good around your bed, but it can bring sick energy into the bedroom if placed incorrectly. Make sure that it does not reflect your bed while sleeping.

A mirror has the ability to reflect and amplify various forms of energy, which can disturb the calmness required in the bedroom for a restful sleep. This can lead to insufficient sleep at night and difficulty waking up in the morning.

Have you ever experienced waking up in the morning with discomfort in your knees or chest? Take a moment to reflect on whether the edges of the mirror in your room intersect with your body in any way. It is likely that you will discover the source of your pain through this observation.

Mirror and Dining room

It is a good idea to place a mirror reflecting a dining table. It is believed that the doubling of food on the dining table symbolizes the abundance of wealth. Do check with a Vastu expert for directions and shape before fixing mirrors.

Mirror near entrance

It is not advisable to have a mirror that reflects the entrance of the exterior. This could result in energy that enters the space being propelled outward. Consequently, one may experience a lack of beneficial opportunities entering their life.

Mirrors can be employed to redirect something unfavorable. By positioning the mirror to face the source of the negative energy within your surroundings, it will bounce back the energy and prevent it from having a detrimental effect on you. Thus, if you have an object or shape that causes disharmony, you can balance it out by placing the mirror in the right direction.

A narrow passage or hallway constricts the energy of that space. This can have a constricting effect on your own energy affecting your health. The lungs especially might be affected, as the constricted passageway in your home is analogous to the constricted airways in your body. Widen a narrow entry or hall with mirrors on one or both sides.

Other uses

Mirrors can be used to create an illusion of space. When there is a constriction in a particular area of a room, a mirror can be used to add depth to the wall that is causing the issue.

If you have a low ceiling, a mirror can be used to create a visual representation of the crushing sensation. To achieve this, the mirror should be set so that it faces the ceiling, making the reflection visible.

Amazing things happen when you use a mirror that effectively pulls in the outdoors and warmth from the sun. If your windows open to a beautiful outdoor view or exquisite garden, bring those views inside by placing a mirror on the wall opposite the windows. The mirror will reflect the outdoor views bringing them inside and making the landscape an integral part of the premises.

Mirror corrections

According to Vastu, mirrors should be avoided on the southern and western walls. Special mirror pyramids are available to be placed in the four corners of the mirror in order to correct the energy.
