It is auspicious to have a north east zone (Ishanya Disha) of your premises lower than the other direction. But if the compound or outer zone is higher than the north east of your house, then its called a vastu defect.

We have a home with door facing west, and is towards the center of the west wall, our bedroom is southwest. Pooja mandir (not a special room, but a mandir in NE area) is also in NE corner.
We have been having financial issues for the last few years (but we came to this house only 1 yr ago), We have lot of money / equity but it is stuck in properties and we are unable to get some cash against it to better our high interest financial loans, which keeps us in financial stress all the time with no savings although good income.

I have a painting of Hemakuta hill , Hampi. With the tallest structure on it, a pond of water in between the hills reflecting the structure and a flower bearing tree. Now since the water is present , I can't put it on the west and as per your earlier comments for others, I understand hills should be on the west. Respected Sir, My house is facing East. I have constructed boundary wall on all the side with low height 2.6" in north with 2' height grill. This north wall is common for me and my neighbor(south wall for neighbor). He has not constructed separate boundary wall and now he wants to construct. He wants to raise the height of his south wall higher that my north wall. Is there any vaastu defect in it, since his and mine boundary walls are separate.
If your boundary at the north zone becomes higher than your south wall then it will be a Vastu defect.
