Roads - How they affect your vastu

Certain features in your external environment can affect positively or negatively on the vastu of your building. Location of the road and open space are highly important in the vastu shastra. Let us examine how the road and surrounding affects fortune of the site owner & his family:-

T- Junction
The Situation When a house faces a T-junction, it is like a gun being pointed straight at the house.

The T-junction acts like a funnel drawing negative energies towards the house. People staying in such houses are always in troubles.

Business premises located at T junction will face instability.

We have seen a lot of business house located at T junction has been closed down in a short period of time.

The Effects
The occupants of such a house could suffer from poor health and may be accident-prone. Business premises located at T junction will face instability.

The Solution
If possible, reposition the front door or gate so that it does not directly face the road running up to the entrance.
&
A low fence or a hedge should be built with a gate as a barrier to the negative energies.

Vastu partition strips and vastu helix are the alternative solutions/remedies for correcting a T junction defect.


Location of Road

Building or Plot having a road at East or NorthOverall prosperity
Building or Plot having a road at South - Not Good
Building or Plot having a road at west - Average

If there are two roads surrounding the premises:-

Roads at North and East - Good Prosperity
Roads at East and south road - Good for females
Roads at South and west - Average
Roads at West and north - Good

Plot having four side road - Best plot
Plot located at dead end of the road - highly dangerous

Veedhi Shoola – Approaching Road

Veedhi Shoolas 
is said to occur when roads approach the site. Some of these are considered bad while the others don't matter much.

·There are four prime road approaches, which are considered to be highly positive and there are other four approaches, which are considered to be highly negative.

The road approaching from North East of East is considered to be a very good situation because it gives name, fame, and prosperity to the owner of the house or plot.

The road coming from North-East of North is also considered good as it gives better and excellent prosperity and financial soundness to the owner. As the availability of these plots is rare they should be bought whenever found.

The road from North-West of the west is good as it offers excellent business propositions, more contacts, better friendships relations and satisfies political aspirations. Ladies will flourish and all-round happiness is present in such premises/plots.

The road approach from Southeast of South is also good as it brings good luck in finance and offers excellent financial status for the owner.

The road from Southeast of East may cause financial misery and legal problems.

The road coming from Southwest of West is an invitation to bad luck. Such location should be avoided under any circumstances.

The road approaching from Southwest of South is highly inauspicious. It may result into serious bad luck and loss of health.

The road approaching from Northwest of the north may result into instability in business as well as income.

Some Vastu Remedies to correct T-Junction Roads:-

Place copper pyramid strip (energy partition), if you have access from the south road only. This can be placed in multiple of 9

Let me describe details of plot

1- T junction on North Facing.
2- East a plot
3- West a plot
4- South straight road facing (as its a neighbours venture they laid a road from their venture with is straight to our plot on south side.

Please suggest vastu on this plot.

Note:- If we have to build a house we will have to build it facing North as south is neighbours venture.

Please note that veedhi shoola at south-east and south-west need a strong vastu correction. Since you have multiple veedhi shoola , we recommend you to get your house harmonize with vastu elements.

Correction to my previous post,
The garden which is on the south side and is behind the house . and front door is facing the plots #8 and #9 . So to confirm our plot is a north facing (in UK generally garden is behind the house )

I have purchased a plot in 2010 via loan and made full payment and got complete ownership in Feb 2015 Pls suggest me best remedy as my career is in a bad shape since Sept 2015 actually between May and Aug 2015/it was best phase financially and before that also I was having very stable career for about 15 years .pls help if the plot is having any connection with this. here is a link which shows diagram of my plot with directions .The overall plotting scheme is not having symmetrical shape and sizes but my plot is rectangle with one corner rounded.There is road on North and East while on West it is another plot and in South there is a common plot garden. Your plot has no connection with your present problems. You should get current residential vastu checked. Plot with curve north- east corner should be made rectangular or corrected with the vastu strips.

Hi I am buying a 3 bed room apartment in the first floor of the property with 30 feet road on the west side of the property. The main gate to the apartment community is at north- west corner of the plot. And my apartment is north facing and entrance is at North. The total plot area is 38 feet west and 60 feet north. And the plot is at T jucntion by west- south west , but the exposed plot area is just 4 feet width. Does it have a big impact to my apartment in the first floor and do i need to do any remedy for it.

Yes, it will impact on your house also even if it is a first level. Use vastu mirror as a correction.

Our house is located at the T-junction of roads. And although we are doing good and well established but still we feel that problems are never leaving our way.in one way or other we are in difficulties or sorrow.peace of mind is not there. Even if you are doing well, T junction will bring frequent obstacles. We suggest to place copper strips available at www.plusvalueindia.com. Number of strips to be installed are based on area and size of T junction reflection.

Locations of roads towards the north, east and west are excellent. Make sure that planning of the house should be as per vastu internally as well as externally to get maximum benefits of this science.

Am planning to buy a east facing plot 30x55 feet It has a road hit on the west side of south west.Back side I.e, west side is a different colony I.e a different layout .it is a small Road of 6 feet width hitting the extreme west end of south west.. Is it good to leave the whole 6ft by 55ft of the road hit area and go ahead with the rest 24by 55 ft plot.. If this can be done, please suggest ways to isolate that road hit area and wether it can be used for any other purpose. Thanks

Yes, Lift opposite to main door is a vastu defect. Its called "kup vedh" and should be corrected with strong vastu remedies.

Its good to leave the area so you plot does not have road hitting (veedhi shoola). You can use area for rock garden but no access from main plot.

I have house which is a corner plot with road to the north and road to the east, but it also has a road coming from the north to north west. The house is facing the east and not the road coming from the north.

my flat in building on 3rd floor in facing east and on east there is hill.
our building has slope on west side. we are having roads on north and east side of building. Main problem is what should be done for vastu dosh of west side slope.

Hill on east and slope on west could impact on health and children's creativity. Have a borewell between hill and your building (north east zone). Level the west zone which has a slope.

sir actually in front of building on east side there is road and also space has been made for play ground by cutting hill on east side, adjustcent to our building compound we are having two water ponds on south east side . We cant drill borewell between hill and building. What i feel is we are on 3rd floor , we should have less impact. As there is compound to our building i feel we should not have impact of water ponds on south east side... kindly give your valuable guidance

Make sure that you have more open space on north and east.
Since you also have a road towards east, make entrance at auspicious zone in east direction.
Make sure all outer elements are as per vastu like water body, power, slope, boundry etc.
Get your plan apporved as per vastu for all internal and external arrangements.

The house which I am interested in , is a west facing house and its facing another house. this opposite house has a road hitting it at the back but there is a compound wall blocking this T junction. the T junction is not visible from the house that i am interested in . would there still be any negative impact . on the East side of the house there is a nice river flowing and a big drain on the North which channels all the rain water from West to East. towards the river. but there is a road ending at north side . separated by this north drain , a compound wall and 2 plots of land before the said house. its a beautiful house with very little vastu defect.
would the road at the north , and the hidden T junction on the West give any negative Vastu defect to this beautiful house

Though it has a north east extention, a double T junction makes your plot not suitable for construction of the house. You need to apply strong vastu corrections, if planning to make a house.

I am planning buy a home that is 3 storey.
1. House have to roads Front Side facing to EAST has an internal road and the backyard/rear facing West is a main road. --> Is there any impact as per vastu
2. Entry to the house is at middle floor, There is a basement in the west facing main road and its above the road
3. The front facing is also above the road, however its a slope, so the basement is at a lower level compare to the east facing road. Any impact ?

First of all I m appreciating your effort to give remedies for all. Please find the below location.

1.first is on the south.
2.west side land
3. East side already a burning.
4. North side there is another plot.
5. North West corner there is a gated community.

However my dog side road is 23 feet only. You can find a road from North hitting my plot on the north west corner around 8 feet width. But as my road is also north south, it makes a small s shaped bend. Or family is very interested in the location.

If this land is having any vast human problem, but I kindly give me the solution for the same.

Dear Sir,

I am looking to buy an east facing level plot dimensions 18m*30m dimensions and east to west the longest side. There are some questions in mind would like to get clarified from you.

1) The land is slightly below (not by much maybe less that 0.5m) road running along the east, is that a problem?
2) There's a electric pole outside the plot on the pavement at the edge of northeast corner should that be a concern?
3) can I put the garage in the southeast, Is there any problem if its attached to the main house. I'll also have an entrance to the main house from the garage as per plan and not much option to change that.(If thats a problem, as a remedy can i have a open area behind the garage and the door from the garage opens to that open area and from there can i provide an entrance to the house?)
4) Where then is the next best option for kitchen, is south, north or north west a good option.

Kindly advice suitable remedies.

The plot of land, I want to buy, is in the street corner and facing perfect north direction. It is on the street that goes towards East and the street adjacent to the plot goes towards North. If you consider the all plots in the land as a rectangle, my plot of land is in the North East corner. The plot of land is Gomukhi kind of land. Front is 35 ft, while the back side is 60 ft. The west side is 125 ft, while the North East corner has street pend and measured as 120 ft. It is not a perfect rectangle. First 25 ft is left for entry. On the north side of the plot, closer to NE, there is a street rainwater gutter that goes underground in that 25 ft left out for entry. The water is collected in the under-street sewerage pipe and disposed off elsewhere. Is this plot of land is good as per Vastu? Thankful if you can please advise. Thanks.

There is a road approaching the house on the south side and the kitchen is in the NE corner of the house. The current owners have extended the kitchen by building a deck and a sun room further to the North East.

If it forms a T junction, then it is a vastu defect. ALso if projects on north west corner of north, it is a bad veedhi shoola and inauspicious as per vastu. Get is corrected with vastu corrections.

Hi,

Our home is on northeast corner, main door facing North. East side too has a road but no entrance.
But north east corner has huge trees and weight, and south side slope. We are facing financial instability and mental tensions as soon as we bought the home.
Everything else is as per vastu.
Planning to get the trees cutdown. slope on south side of the backyard is concerned.
NE corner of the plot is rounded but house is stright.
Please give us instructions on what we can do about it.

(This approach road is in North-south direction.) About 40% of Northwest of the house faces this approach road. The rest 60% faces Main road (North-south road). Sir, We are constructing house & realized that it SE - diagonal plot. Main door facing NE.
Q: Is there any dosh if the drainage outlet / pipe line goes from West to SW to South direction. Final outlet from plot will be South. How to rectify?
Q: Alternatively, can the underground drainage pipe pass out side of NE main door i.e. in the passage between Door & compound wall. Exit will be next to Main gate in the East? If this is also dosh. How to rectify.

Hello Vastu Guru,

I am 32 year person and head of family. I have a TJunction ( dead end) home. Road from south end in at out home.
Home built by my father in 2001. He suddenly died in 2004 with heart attack. My mother also died after 6 years in 2010.

Now I am only son in my family. I am head of family now. I am a business person but business is not performing well.

I read in some vastu sites and blogs that Tjunction (dead end) plots are not good for head of family. Mostly south west dead end.

I have attached my home layout here. Please let me know your suggestions:

Do I need relocate / shift in any other house?

Should I still own this house by keeping it on rent for others?

You need to protect your house from T junction defect. Ideally you should put a wall or fix a vastu partition strips to reduce the impact.
